If I had one day left to fish,......hmm thats a hard one, I dont think i would fish I think I would set up a small camp at canyon lake park overlooking the best veiw there, and it would have to be with my girl, my daughter,my broher, and my best friend regi, I would much rather spend the day you know feeding the ducks with my girl and my daughter while regi and my brother went after the hawgs an kitties, then sewt up a fire and hearing the crackle of the camp fire fall slowly asleep out on the bank at the end of my time, laying in my girls lap with my daughter in mine and my brother and my best bud at my side watching the shooting stars and the beautiful south texas sky! that would have to be the way i would wanna go if i had my choice!

If I could choose but one day and have the power, I would bring back my dad and we would fish for bream on the Lumber River just outside Concord, NC. We used fly rods with crickets, about a number two gold hook and fished them weightless on sinking fly lines. This is a memory from so many years ago, but one of the best I have of my Dad.

I don't know where I'd be, but I'd be in a brand new top of the line Ranger bass boat that I financed the night before. ------------------ Gig'em Fighting Texas Aggie Class of '94

Chunking a ChugBug on Texoma in the late spring at dawn...watching the the Stripers blow up and chasing the bait... or wading south of the cut between San Jose Island and Mud Island chunking at tailing Redfish just off the Lydia Ann Channel in Aransas Bay with no boats around...just a gentle breeze to ruffle the sea and summer sky for company... chug buggin' the top feeding stripers at the tail-race below a damn or off the rocks on the main lake. good action with stripers hitting the top has got to be the fastest and most furious fishing i've ever done and the feeling lasted for days. hell, i guess it's still in my bones, hence this post reply. I've always wanted to go down to South America and do some peacock bass fishing. The videos I've seen of those monsters blowing up on a top-water plug are awesome!!

I'd have to spend my last day on the gulf in flat waters with the boat backed up to the Cerveza rig hammering AJ's. Life couldn't be better!!

Well, Lake Fork would be nice, but if it was the last time, it would be one of two places. Stone Chimney Creek, in Lake Palestine, during the Fall, when you take that last left back in the creek, and the sun goes behind the trees and you can feel the air get alot cooler, tossing a White Spiinerbait, and slow rolling it all around the dock that is there. 2nd, anywhere on Lake Tyler during the Fall, when the leaves are falling on the water, and throwing a Chart/white Buzzbait. All of this would be with my wife and son. The greatest part of owning a boat is the fellowship with family, and friends.

I would have to say on Toledo Bend or Rayburn, though if it were my last day to fish it would be real crowded in the boat because I would want my whole family with me. JR

Fishing for a 8-900 pound marlin. It would probably give me enough pull for the rest of my life. But I can tell ya one thing if someone told me I would only be able to fish one more day, I would die soon after. Without fishing what else is there. WORK. ------------------ David "Git-R-Done"

I'd spend it with dynamite on Lake Fork.
At least I'd end the question of: "does the next world record bass live in Fork?"
Of course, if I did do that, it would be my last day fishing (at least until I got out of the Penn.)

We aren't going to die after that ? Well that changes my whole answer then. Besides I'd probably blow myself up with the dynamite anyway ! I'd be down in Marathon in the Florida Keys. Years ago my family waded off that island, a half mile from shore at low tide ! I'd have light tackle wading way out catching the barracuda and manta rays and a few smaller sharks. Picking lobster off the bottom too ! YUMMMMMMMM David C.
4 out of 5 voices in my head say call in sick and go fishing !
