You are right about fishing being better than work. I've been catching some fish on the main lake humps/ridges throughout the day at Gibbons.
C-Rig has been working good and a small deep diving crankbait. Small seems to be the ticket.

That`s the only thing I fish on Fayette is a C-rig. Gets on top of the grass and seem`s to get a lot more bite`s. Then when I fish the tree`s I go to a Texas rig to get right beside the trees when the sun comes up and they stick to cover. I will try my Fayette strategy on Gibbon`s and hope it works.
Thanks.

I am not sure that the water on FCL is 68 degrees in the middle of Winter...

No one else is saying it, so I will... BS on the fishing report.
Fayette is a steam bath right now, and the best fisherman who know it inside and out won't go until it cools because no one is catching squat.
I'll believe it when I see the pics. For now, I'm calling you out.
'GOOD FISH!'

I went up there 2 weeks ago on a sunday and got skunked for the first time ever. I was loading the boat up and there was a guide giving money back to the customers.

This is the same reason I got off of another forum 3 months ago because of the negative people. Why would I lie and how would I benefit from lying? I have been fishing Fayette county even before it was open. I used to float fayette count in tube and jump the fence to fish it. I have been fishing this lake when most of the people that fish it now were still in a crib. I would challenge any guide to a fish off on fayette any given Day. I have wanted to guide Fayette but have thought about it over the years but my wife love`s fishing to and does not want me to because it will take away from our fishing togeather. I will not tell you I have never been skunked on Fayette because that would be a lie. Becuase I`m not that good with computers and pic`s you are calling me a liar. Fayette is like a lot of other lakes it has its up`s and downs. We have sat in one of our many spots and we caught 2 ,and in the same spot on another day and caught over 20. Dont dog us because you got skunked and we did not. Quit crying suck it up and good fishing too all.
