Isn't the minimum legal length for Stripers on Tawakoni 18 inches?

yes it is and a limit of 5 and I hope there were two anglers in that boat.

Nice catch

We did realy good last evening also
with about 17 stripers to 11# and about 10 sandies.

sorry wingman..... I cant remember where we caught them confused but I can tell you we use sassyshad and found some topwater stripers .... starteled both of us as we both were hooked up and then BAM a fifty to a hundred came up all around us even hitting the boat eek , the few we cought there were in the 10# range at about midnight..... dang I cant remember where though laugh

Good luck and be carfull almost all the timber is under water now.

Well I got skunked today. Got on the water about 10:30 a.m., no graph returned from Lowrance yet, but I trolled the Dallas Pump Sta, Finger Point and Greenville Pump Sta with hell/pet and hell/sassy shad. Wind came up pretty strong out of the northwest. Caught 1 hybrid trolling thru some gulls sitting on the water, alot of sunshine, and off the water by 1:00 p.m. Regards, Bart

Bart,
They did not start schooling until 3 pm Wed. 12/8/04 North of 2 mile bridge. It was very cloudy all day. Birds sat all day until 3 pm.
Water Temp now around 54 F.

CaddoGuy and I caught some of the biggest White Bass I have ever seen. Most were 1 1/2 lb. and up. Really thick fillets. They did not start schooling until 3 p.m. We would catch 2 or 3 and then they would move. We went thru 5 cycles of wait-chase the birds-catch fish....wait again.

I got my first true Striper at Tawakoni. Caught it on (what else?) one of the 3/4 oz. Chartruese Humdingers I just bought from MinnerDunker last week.

That 3/4 oz. got down there with the Stripers. I let it drop for a 7 or 8 count before starting a slow retrieve....then, bang. Took about 5 minutes on 10 lb line to get him in. What a beautiful fish! The slow retrieve worked on the Whites as well with the same Humdinger.
