Fished the ship channel and a few other spots this past thursday and friday. Had to fight through the hardheads and gafftops and only managed one red one blacktip and one trout. Very dissapointed to say the least. Jetties were packed hard to even find a spot w a boat. It didnt look like anybody was doing too much better than us. Seawolf park was slow. The sunken ship right outside seawolf was slow as well. If I ever fish galveston again it will be the surfside freeport area. BTW we did have a full moon and a change in wind to the NE. Offshore boats coming in had fish though.

Thanks for the report Cap'nDave. I'm leaving OK for Galveston on Thursday morning. Long trip but get to hang out with my brother and nephews. Hopefully we can get out to some spots near the boat cut and a few other spots around the jetties. Would love to fill my ice box with some taco meat. Last year we did good on reds, sand trout, and drum. Will see how it goes and post a report when I get back in a week. Tight lines!
