Looking forward to a good event and getting to see and hear the breakdown of how a big event breaks things down. In the interest of learning something new I have been hoping that even if it is not won fishing deep, I would like to hear of some top finishers doing so. That lake has such a reputation of fishing dirt shallow, which is absolutely true, but I would like to hear of a deep bite to justify getting a new HDS unit.

our park group will be selling barbecue and drinks at the event starting around noon on Thursday and Friday- breakfast tacos will be available as well
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I'm with Z21 Cranker - Cecil or Grandstaff
When in doubt, do without.

Official practice started today I think. Looking forward to this one. Gonna be hard just to sit back and watch someone fish all day but I am hoping I get some good draws and that I learn a bunch. Headed out there Wednesday through saturday.

I may have to sign up as a observer since I knocked a hole in my boat on sunday out fishing so now I'm boatless and of all weeks to have done it.
