I would bet good money it was the locals on the south side. Who else would benefit? It now opens that area for skiers. Someone has to know. That is too much noise to hide. The bigger question might be what can be done to restore it.

Someone had to see them cut a 100+ acres of stumps. Hope they catch them. I'd like to know how much the restitution plan is. Should make them pick up all the debris that's going to float loose when the lake rises.

Is anyone planning on moving or picking up some of the debris? Or just go ahead and let the first flood ruin the lake for boat traffic??
I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!

It seems, that someone that selfish and stupid, as to clear cut a section of the lake when it was down, would hang out with like minded people and a reward large enough would probably expose their names. Probably have to sell their ski boat and jet skis when they get caught. I'm sure the restitution would be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, it is a federal crime since it was on corp of engineer land. I hope they get caught and their life ruined.

I talked to a COE officer at BPS today. She didn't really know much about it because it wasn't her project, but they are trying to find out who the culprit is. There should be a police report filed somewhere. I'm not sure what jurisdiction that falls in though. It's federal property.
