Roadtrip, your secret is safe with me. In the future stay out of those kind of bars and ease back on the tequila shots.

What I meant was she was a woman but she weren't no lady.
Just thought I'd clear that up.

Fisherwood, I have been called MISS informed Patt and a few other things that I will not go into but MR. Patt has a nice ring to it, although just Patt will be alright with me. Roadtrip, did not mean to make you uneasy, I'm a no ask, don't care kind of guy. There was that time in New Orleans... too many tequila shots... I could have danced all night but my biker buds told me she was no lady! Maybe not, but boy could she( or he?) two step to a Hank williams song! I find it best not to fall in love when I drink tequila because I tend to bring home ladies that momma would not approve of... and momma is not all that picky!

When I saw that the name of the club was "The Claptrap", that should have told me something.

splat The Texas heat must be responsible for all this animosity. I'm a native Texan and I call bluegills: bluegills, redears: shellcrackers, redbreasts: redbreasts and warmouths and rock bass: goggle-eyes. And when talking about panfish in general, I call 'em bream. When folks call panfish "perch" it doesn't confuse me, but it does confuse a lot of others who ain't from 'round here. I'm all for less confusion. I don't think any of us will be less "Texan" for it.

I posted this topic to amuse us while it is too hot to fish, and to teach those who do not know, not to cause personal insults and abuse. Some folks cannot learn. I suggest we drop the topic and go on to more important matters such as the proposed sinker ban and the Wheeler Branch scandal.

When it's on my plate, then I just call it dinner.

Unless it's one of those carp perch, then I call it trash and dispose of it properly.

Now if a perch could talk, I'd bet he'd thank me for getting the trash out of his neighborhood.

Less carp in the water, more quality gamefish to catch.
