Has anyone heard of or tried fishing this place. Recently talk to a guy who used to work the quarry and he claimed it was very deep. I noticed that it holds water year round, even during these past dog days of summer and does not appear to be losing any shoreline.

West of 287? North or south of 820?

Located just north west of meacham air field. North of the loop, west of 287. East of old decatur rd. They are either filling the south side or excavating...not sure been running into alot of dump truck off old decatur rd. Has new housing addition just north of the quarry.

if you're talking about the place behind albertsons on western center it's illegal to fish as the people in the neighborhood call everytime they see a car they don't recognize pull up, and you've got to be a part of the home owners association and have this id card verifying it, otherwise you're s.o.l. i fish there because i know many people who live there from school...and they've added me on there list...but don't mess with it unless you want the cops out there and possibly a game warden...i've seen to many people getting big tickets for fishing there.

correction western center is east, its right off old decatur rd. If your going toward lakeworth on the loop, look right just as you pass the wendy ryan arena and you can see it briefly.

I know where you are talking about but I've always thought that's where the rodeo boys go relieve themselves after riding broncs all day.

Used to catch a lot of fish there. Now it's a good place to go if you want a ticket.

NVM, I found it. 32.832760, -97.372860 It seems like there are 2 reservoirs to fish. I'm going to go to the one next to that neighborhood after work today to check it out. Looking from street view it seems like there might be some good bass fishing.

Did you go? The one across the street by the airport, called Cement Creek Reservoir, says public property. I would be interested in hearing some info on that.

I went to the one by the neighborhood, it's tough to get to, and it's almost unfishable, you can't get to the bank to fish, there are super thick reeds and toolies all the way around it. It's super deep, it's a shame cause with a little work the city would have a hell of a park.
