What are yalls go to flies when it comes to bass fishing? Ive always used clousers and pencil popers but I want to change it up alittle. Also if you could tell me how to tie them or atleast the name of the fly that would be great.

Just offhand - Whooly buggers with a nice little rabbit tail seem to work when nothing else does. Also, big, noisy foam or deer hair poppers...the more colorful the better!

In this life there is fly fishing and tying...and then there is all that other stuff in between that doesn't matter.

Clousers, buggers, The newly proven Craft fur clouser, EP styles, and anything with a Rabbit strip tail works great for bass

I have found that on some days any big fuzzy gaudy colorful deer haired bug will do and on other days nothing seems to work on top and I just hate to go under water after them, but some kind of wooly bugger seems to do the trick for me. If that don't work I start after the blue gils. I am only a Bass fisherman when the Bass cooperate.

Some one at the Dallas Fly Club tied and 2006 auction donated some yellow arches o' foam flies that acted like a crank bait.

Man I love 'em - wait -

Man O' man the bass love 'em.

Unless you are wearing a grass skirt and sleeping in a ditch and eating only road kill, you too are part of 'the problem'.
