 Where to buy minnows in McKinney

I have been taking the kids bank fishing at the local ponds. Does anyone know where I can buy minnows close to the Eldorado/Lake Forest area in McKinney? I hate to drive out to Ray Bob or Lavon area just for a couple of dozen....

but get a seine, it is one of the most productive, entertaining and educational things a bunch o' kids will ever see

The closest may be Jim's on Mcdonald/Highway 5 not far from downtown Mckinney

Thanks to both of ya, we ended up doing bacon for perch just so the kids could fish. A 10 year old boy and a 6 year old girl keep me running to help so no fishing for me!

Where is Jim's? I work at Hwy. 5 and Industrial. Aren't McDonald and Hwy. 5 the same road?

They are the same. Go north on hwy 5/Mcdonald from Industrial. It's not far from the first traffic light you get to. It's on the right side of the street. Its a small yellow store. 1009 S McDonald St

Here is the # 214 544 0222 I always call before heading that way, 9 time's out of 10 they have minnows.

The only other one that I"m aware of out that way is The Cove Bait. It's at 469 Audie Murphy Pkwy W. in Farmersville. I've been trying to come up with a Google map of good places to bank fish in the North Texas area, which includes locations of bait stores. Anyone can update it, so feel free to add and update. Jims will be out of minnows for about another week. Said they aren't surviving when they get them. Call ahead. They said today about a week.
