That's basically how I learned to catch fish. A 10-11ft bream buster(about 5 bucks) and some 20lb mono(about 12-13ft) and some popping bugs. It's a blast. You can tie on a cork and crickets(no, not grasshoppers...black crickets  ) and wear out a bream bed, and normally hook onto a 2lb-ish bucketmouth. Ahh the good ol days....
