 Is this cheating? Sam Rayburn 2nd Week of August-

Located a hump near a well known island (rock)- Decided we would go out early and fish it since it was so hot.
Proceeded to fish on opposite side and as we worked toward the
hump, noticed there was someone already there. No problem!
We waited our turn, without being obtrusive, started heading closer but was blocked by the boat to even fish near or go on by? Back and forth he went. No big deal! All of sudden a tournament boat, wrapped, loaded to the gills, tournament shirts, came flying up. The gentleman fishing the hump slowly trolled away and the tourney guys proceeded to fish the hump intently. I was amazed, that he was holding their spot! People
will do anything to gain an edge, looks like cheating to me?

If it was during a tournament and the first boat was "hole sitting", yes that is cheating!

It depends on the tournament rules you were fishing.If the rules state "No Hole Sitting" then its considerd cheating.If you were in the tournament,you should know the rules.
That being said,you should have brought it up to the tournament director at the weigh in.

I'm sure we could find out what tournament was going on that day.

I was not fishing the tournament so this is how I am getting involved, during the week, second week of August, during the week. Not too many tournaments in August on Rayburn.
Hopefully whoever did this, reads this post! I did not get a name! I was pretty disgusted and just headed to another area.

Two tournaments on south end of Rayburn the 14th of Aug.. the rules of one: "During the tournament hours contestants may not have the assistance or advice of anyone for the purpose of locating or catching bass other than from another contestant. No one is permitted to hole sit for contestants."
The rule of #2: "Hole sitting by or for entrants will be grounds for disqualification."
Several teams fished both txs..
