what is the biggest fish you have caught off a pier?

42" 40 lb. Bull red, October 2009 at Seawolf Park.

mine was a 49 1/2 inch 53 lbs red fish off the 61st street peir in galveston in septber of 07.

how do you get fish that big up to the top?

Caught a 6'2 balck tip of the Fulton bridge

We slipped a rope with a slip knot over the rod, and down the line. We then used a surf rod to work it over the sharks head and fins. Once it was over we just hoisted him up. Nice and snug!

I have since then used an extendable skiff pole and fastened a gaff to it using two hose clamps

I use a 60 in net with 100 ft of anchor rope

56 pound black drum off jetty in Cameron, LA. 46 inch, 37 pound red the same day.

I caught a Kraken near the sea wall on bologna but a gamewarden told me to "Release the Kraken" cause it wasnt in the slot.

I did not realize they got that big. That is awesome!
