I was on the lake today, in open water, and when I started to take off the boat started to get on plane and started shaking violently! Tried it 1 more time and same result. Stopped pulled the cowling and as I was looking at the engine, I noticed 1 of the blades on my stainless steel prop was missing?!?!?!?!

Has anybody ever had this happen to them??

So now I am looking for a new prop, heard good things about the Fury, any advive??

I am running a 1998 Mercury EFI 225 on a 20 foot Progator bass boat.
Thanks for any input..

I have heard of Protech props having welded on blades having this issue some time ago. But the fury is a great prop!

I have slung blades before but it usually happens at high speed when you are running the prop above the pad. Some of the Trophy props were bad about it. It will get your attention quickly.

I've slung blades on tempests, trophys, yamaha's, choppers, I've got a magic touch...

It happens to all of em, nothing brand specific. And I've got a little hint, it's not just PT's that are welded on, most of the merc props are too.

They all can have problems, with the HP these new motors are putting out. Helped a guy at Amistade last year that lost a blade on his new Bass Cat, 250 Merc, 27P Fury. He was unhappy. He said it was the 4th time to have the boat in the water.
