I fish slp often, good place to go lots of areas to fish and if the waters green you can catch some big fish too. Haven't camped there but lots of people do and the rv area has been packed all summer. Don't know anything about the other park. Good luck

Thanks, I got some good leads on where to fish around Camp Mohawk on Chocolate Bayou. I am not sure but suspect it was the BSA Camp Mohawk I camped as a young teen in the mid-60s. I have thought that at Quintana I was at the beach for surf fishing and not far from either the bay marshes or SLP.
