Plugged the onboard charger today after fishing yesterday for a couple of hours. Trolling battery didn't show charged. Plugged up to a regular manual charger. Left on for about 4 hours, plugged on board charger, still showed it was charging. Left on onboard charger another 4.5 hours. Still indicated not charged. So the battery was on a charger of some kind for 10.5 hours. Still not indicating charged. Put it on onboard charger again this morning for an hour now and still doesn't indicated that it is charged. Should I take the battery out and have it checked? The onboard is a 3amp. It has been on this charger for about 7.5 and on a 10amp for 4 hours yesterday.
Put the plug in.

at that amperage, if you used that battery alot, it will take much longer than that to charge cpmplete. Use a hydrometer. A perfect battery will be 1300. If you can get each cell to 1290, that is about as good as it gets. Never go by what a charger says. Only way to tell if ya have a bad cell is to check each one.

Thats how deep cycle batterys act when they go bad or are low on acid.

you can pull it and take it to autozone/oriellys/wallyworld etc. and ask for a load test, that will tell you what shape its in the best.
