The recessed tray is one of the best things to do for a bass boat.

If you having TM issues Allstar Marine has the most outsanding customer service in the Metroplex. Have helped me many times.

There is a place at Lake Fork at Lake Fork Marina, the guy usually will fix your TM while you wait. I make the drive from Dallas to this shop cuz it is fixed the same day and price is right

I need to get my string replaced on my motorguide. I will be down at fork tom. I wonder if I could swing by there during lunch and get him to slap a new string on it. You think he hes is open on sundays?

Call Him, the string is pretty easy to replace. I have seen guys use heavy guage wire so it will never break again.

I fixed mine that way last year after two breaks in three trips. I used 1/4 in cable up past the mount and p-cord up to the handle. I won't have to make any more on the water repairs to that!

Have you done it before? It takes a special tool. ANd yes many people pay to haev them replaced. You own a troling motor right?

I have done it on both MG's and MK's and never needed any "special tools"

Must be that fancy Baylor education..
