I am in the exact same boat. I have 4 johnny morris reels in three speeds: 5.4, 6.3, and 7.1. I am going to try the 7.1 on my new crankbait rod(skeet reese) this weekend and see how I like it. I may swap the 5.4 on which I bought for jig fishing.

txwhitetail TFF Guru Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 15,137 San Angelo	I stick with 6 speed reels on my cranks even deep divers. A lot easier for me to slow it down than to speed up a 5 speed reel. Revo SX and STX and Orra are what I use.
