who makes your favorite baitcaster for crankbaits and what gear ratio do you recomend?
i'm starting to move away from an all around combo to lure specific combos.

Curado E5, have several and i love em'. Heard good things about the winch also. Both are around the 180- 200 range

x2 on the curado e5. I love that big knobs that the curados come with. Most comfortable knobs on the market.

I am in the exact same boat. I have 4 johnny morris reels in three speeds: 5.4, 6.3, and 7.1. I am going to try the 7.1 on my new crankbait rod(skeet reese) this weekend and see how I like it. I may swap the 5.4 on which I bought for jig fishing.

I stick with 6 speed reels on my cranks even deep divers. A lot easier for me to slow it down than to speed up a 5 speed reel.

Revo SX and STX and Orra are what I use.
