Finally got an opportunity and jumped on it.

Still on the road but should get back to Texas tomorrow evening and will post a full report in a couple days.

Cutt-Slam; never heard of it before but it's a fine idea.
So are the different sub-species located in separated bodies of water?

I envy you with all that I am.

This summer has been like no other in memory, with no obligations other than my own it drug by. So patiently I went with the flow, knowing everything will soon change. After weeks of waiting the day came. With the car loaded down in the parking lot, I was the first to turn in the final and was probably on the other side of Chillicothe before the last exam was completed.

With the past 4 years crashing down on me, I finally had the excuse I needed to take my long anticipated graduation trip or at least thats how I played it in my head. The supporters were more than happy and gave me consent to hit the road. The only certainty I left with was that it was Yellowstone or bust. Although, I had a few detours planned along the way.

I took 800+ pictures, mostly crappy ones but here are a few that highlight the trip:

More to come later..

A trip like that would almost make it worth going back to school again.

Beautiful.

Congratulations on having the intestinal fortitude to reward yourself.

The trip turned out better than ever imagined. Logged 4,500 miles in 17 days and caught more fish than could be expected. It was my first time to fish the Rockies in August and it definitely wont be my last.

As far as pics of chicks, I tried to snap a couple no lookers but none turned out. It was shocking how many good looking birds were in every campground. I handed out a few moose drools but had little luck.

Sweet. The Cutt Slam is a nice memento, isn't it? Awesome trip, and an awesome report.
