Ask the carp guys. i'd try a small breadball on a sz 12 hook. How big are they exactly?

Maybe try inticing them with some floating food and then cast net them?

bread and castnet X2
actually bread over a few days at the same spot, then castnet on the 3rd or 4th day over them.
As far as part of the carp family (if you're interested, someone may be...)
They are both members of the minnow family (Cyprinidae), along with a lot of other fishes.

Lots of luck with your gold fish problem. I think the baited cast net is your best bet.

I have goldfish in my pond too. We catch them regularly with bread, corn, or just about anything you catch bream with. Take those goldfish to Fork and hang on, because you might just get your arm broke.

Interesting that the goldfish have not only survived but apparently thrived. To me a sure sigh there are not many predators in the pond.
I used to manage a couple of hundred acre bass lakes down the road a bit (still manage thousands of acres of fishing lakes and ponds). We would buy about 900 pounds of goldfish a week for those ponds all summer long. Never saw a goldfish after a couple of days, Never managed to catch a goldfish in there in traps, nets or with the fish shocker.
Over the years we put in tens of thousands of pounds of goldfish and not a single one ever made it.
To rid a pond of goldfish, stock it with bass, blue cat, or other predatory species. They'll clean it up right quick. Unless.....the water is very turbid, then clearing the pond will git rid of the goldfish.

They fetch $9.00 a pound for bait, if you are close to a good flathead lake you should offer them for sail.
