Lookin for any help you might be able to offer regard a flush mounted lowrance 520. I cannot get my bow mounted 520 to turn on. All i get is the blue screen and LMS 520 then the unit shuts off. I called support and they said im not getting enough power. I have checked inline fuse and looks good. I have tried a soft reset and never get the map to appear. So i dont think the soft reset is taking. This is the bow flush mount on a ranger Z21 and im pulling my hair out. Any help or direction would be of great help.

I have 2 520's one at bow and one at console. I realize I probably need to switch units and see if I can get the bow unit to work at the driver console .

here's first thing i would do. plug in your on board charge and turn your master switch on. this will make sure you have enough pwr to your units. (since you already stated you check the wire's)
then hold pwr, zin and zout key's down at the same time. once the unit comes on let go of the pwr , but keep holding other 2 keys until you see U.S map. If that does work. i would take out the front unit and try plug it in the back unit pwr cord. you should be able unplug the pwr cord from the console without taking it out.
if that doesn't work, it sounds like your unit is going out.
what year is your ranger and where these unit install at the factory?

Jason your help is much appreciated. Its an early 08 boat and units were installed at factory. Feel confident the battery is not an issue so i figure its either the unit going out or bad connection somewhere to bow hookup.
Your attention to TFF is the best !!

If you can not get it to work, call back to lowrance cs dept and have them warranty the unit (another 520 series) or ask for a upgrade to hds (this will cost certain amount, but cheaper still buying from local dealer.)
Since your 520 was installed factory at the ranger plant (OEM), you have a 3 year warranty from date u bought your boat. You need to found your bill sale and have that ready when you talk to CS dept.
If they give you any problems let me know by a pm.
thanks
