Do Alligators prey on Beavers, Nutria's and Muskrats? Cause if so I have heard some pretty nasty sounds from these creatures on a local lake. Its always when there swimming.... GIANT splash....disturbing sound.....no more critter.

Never seen one but cant think of anything else it would be..

The alligators are harmless, its the dreaded chupacabra you have to worry about when night fishing.

hmmm

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know when to go fishing.

I told him just use some good common sense and If it doesn't feel right leave and go to one of those lighted piers. I have yet walked up one at night or have one come up on me. But I'm prepared if one does if you know what I'm saying. You can spook them with a warning shot or throw rocks in water by them.
