On new water or spots that you don't know what the fish are doing, when you find a drop off or a wide creek channel, where do you like to place your boat?
Do you like to get in the deeper water and cast to edge and run your bait from shallow to drop? Or, do you like to cast in deeper water and run it to shallow?
What would yall 1st try?

all depends on what your trying to do! Shakey head or dragin a rig I like to bring up it! Cranking I like to cast down the side pickup it apart with shallow cranks for the top of the drop all the way down to deep cranks for the bottom! And I like to drag a jig or t-rig off the top of those ledges/channel bends!

Ill usually always try to find em with a crnkbt 1st unless its super deep. Ill still try it a lot to see if they're holding on edges. If nothing then go with jig or plastics

Mostly shallow to deep. If bait is deep and fish are shallow, then the opposite.

Shallow to deep with a crankbait or lipless, then when you find em then drag some soft plastic. But if its deep to shallow then i just throw a soft plastic
