Hey guys, Im from Wichita Falls and was wondering if anyone else was either. Went fishing yesterday and caught an 8 lb. bass out of a private tank in Bowie. We were using minnows daed and alive it didnt really matter, because they bit both pretty well. Caught about 20 keepers in around 5 to 6 hours. Most were keepers but barely. Had a great time. Anyways I was wondering if anyone had any info about any lakes in or around Wichita and what they are biting.

There is quite a few of us here. Im just a little north of you across the state line in Devol, where the casinos are. My wife and I both work in WF and do all of our running around and shopping there. Arrowhead is alway a good place to go to. You can catch any species all day long there also. Little lakes that are real good in this area are Middle lake and Lake Buffalo out in Iowa Park. They are small but you can put in a bassboat with no problem at all and they have some really nice bass in them. There is a couple of bass clubs in the area too. There is another post on those if you do a search you can find them. Oh and welcome to the TFF

I am from Bowie. Who's place were you fishing? Chances are i have been there in the past.

yes ther are several lakes around wf.,buffalo up by Iowa park is good amon carter at bowie is good so is nocona. I live in wf. but do my fishing at fork rayburn and tbend. some times have back seat open if you are interested in going east.

bassman58 I wouldnt suppose you own a cajun would you? I talked to a guy months back standing outside of Academy waiting on them to open and he said those were the only two lakes he fished. Just wondering if that was you
