Has anyone been to thomas since the rains last week, I am thinking about going this weekend.

I was there Sat , but only trolled for white bass and did ok. lake looked good and has caught some water and wasn't as brown as normal. It was even calm. Talked to some bank fishers and they weren't having any luck. The boat that loaded in front of me had a good catch.

Thanks for the report, I talked to a person today that had caught some small channel cats about 2lbs this weekend on danny king cheese bait.

I have to agree not in our lifetime, I dont know what happened to the watershed it doesnt catch a lot of water anymore. I was there this weekend and caught a lot of little channel cats all in the 10-12 in range, is any body catching any bigger ones.

last sunday evening a friend of mine caught a 24 lb yellow and a couple 2 lb blues off the rock point between the boat ramp and dam

Fly over the area west of the lake and you'll see where all the water is,,,,on Muleshoe & Coleman ranches. They have their own huge lakes and stock tanks that will be filled before water runs into JB.

Just got back from the lake, was there friday and saturday, we caught a lot of small channel cats on shad and jumbo grasshoppers, nothing much bigger than 12 inches, the blue cats were a lot bigger on our jug lines, caught several 5-6 lbs on shad. I just cant seem to find the big ones.lol

The bass are still fat !!!! CRMWD improved the main ramp while the lake was really low. I launched the 20' off of it this morning. Had to do some wading since the ramp has such a gentle slope.

Nice bass, I guess I am going to have to quit messing with the small cats and go back to bass fishing.

Just to let all of the Thomas fishers know. Be careful at the dock, theres a wasp nest at the very end. Also, BE AWARE!! I put jug lines out there occasionally and decided to put some out this week to try to catch some fish for my parents. Went to check them Thursday afternoon and someone had cut the hooks off of a few lines and completely cut the bottle off of three others. Since their are very few boats on the lake I have a good idea of who it is, but I will never accuse someone that I don't actually catch. Just very ironic that I had no problem until someone else put jugs out on Thursday morning. I just wish they knew how much work I put into those jugs. If anything take the fish but leave the jugs. Other than that I did pretty good.

Any new reports on the lake, havent been there in a few weeks, probably will go this weekend or next to try some jugs for catfish.

I may head that way Weds or Thurs.

Hope the bass are still biting for you, if they are I may give it a try this weekend.
