Wondering if anyone has any knowledge about the K100 product. (See information at: http://www.k100fueltreatment.com/marine_fuels.pdf).

Their claims indicate it will do all that Stabil and SeaFoam will do plus:

- Burn off any water that is presently in the fuel

- Prevent phase separation of ethanol fuels

The price per 8oz. bottle is about the same as SeaFoam, but the recommended usage rate is about 1/3 of SeaFoam's recommendation.

The only ingredient listed on the MSDS is Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether (EGBE), an alcohol-based solvent, used in paints, metal cleaners, degreasers, insecticides. It's a primary ingredient in oil spill clean-up chemicals.

quote from EGBE manufacturer website:
Quote:

Store EGBE in carbon steel, stainless steel or Teflon containers. Do not store in aluminum, copper, galvanized iron, galvanized steel. Do not use Viton, neoprene, nitrile or natural rubber gaskets or seals. ...

C, If that is what the stuff is made of then you definetly do not want to use it in any outboard because the some of the rubber components are made out of Viton.

Thx for the inputs. No plans to use it, but just ran across it on the Internet and wondered if anyone knew anything about it.
