Hit the lake at 8:00 and fished till around 2:00pm and we caught around 100 Saindies! A few were quite large 3 1/2lbs. The shad were running all under our boat for protection and they were flying all out of the water. The best part was that the majority of them were caught on top water lures. I even cuaght a 4lb catfish and a large crappie. We threw all of them back. The weather conditions were ideal for this event
We went out again at 5:00pm and only caught 12 so I guess they had gorged on shad enough earlier. Most of the fish came from south west side of the lake. Power plant coves all the way to Roberstons and ended on the rocks of the Powerplant midway.
