There is a post in the OT about the Snake that crawled up my exhaust vent and got in to the fan blade and shut my dryers down. Now, photo to go along. I am kind of Indiana Jones when it comes to snakes. Now I have to try to get it out and call the warranty people and cancel, I don't think that is covered under an extended warranty.

Finally had to man up and pull it out. Dryer is working now. This was tough for me. As mentioned I (my family) are deathly afraid of snakes. Smells a little. Open for suggestions on that.

Appears it was a Chicken Snake. Head was chopped up from the fan motor. Guessing about 3.5. Funny thing is there was something blocking the outside vent. I don't know how long it had been in there. We are still trying to decide if it was living in there are after mice. I feed my dog Bites and Bones type dog food pretty close to this vent, I got to noticing that only the Bone shaped food was gone from the bowel. I don't think a lab could be that picky and pick those little ones out. I figured birds, looks like there was something else. There was a hole in the vent hose, that is could have very easily crawled out and into the house. I am in the process of getting another vent door. My lab chewed the last one off. I think he is past this stage.

Birds like to get in the vents and build nest for their eggs. He was looking for the eggs. I use my yard blower to clean out the nest couple times a year from the inside to out. The birds love dog food.
