As most people here probably aready know, Texoma has a gillion shad and with a little practice and knowledge they are always easy for me to find. Especially after I got a X-125 lowrance. Its like the manual says, if the school of shad are balled up, then not afraid of anything, and I hardly ever see any other fish very near. When they are scattered out, then the stripers, sandies, are feeding on them and you will see them clearly on the fish finder, you can actually see a striper streak a line from the deepths up to the shad and dart back down, its neat to see them do it the fish finder.The last 3 weeks have been tough on all the guides and me. I have been trying to catch the fish on the old usuals but i wind up getting shad to catch a mess of fish.I find it actually fun to catch shad with a fishfinder. Your timing has to be pretty quick.
