Caught 2 limits yesterday. Caught 63 today but quit at noon. Biggest was 3lbs 6 oz. It was the biggest I have ever caught. Should have taken a seperate picture of it but forgot to. Check out pictures at www.riverridgetx.com
Notice the catch for Saturday and Sunday. Terrible weather, rain, and water rising. We needed rain so I can't complain. Water came up 8 feet. Monday we started to have a water line in a few places. It gets better everyday.

Glad to hear such an encouraging report Jane. The kids are very anxious to get up there and fish Fri. We got a pocket full of Roadrunners and I have had the girls practicing thier casting.

Jane,
Are any sandies being caught from your sandbar or is it totally under water with the last rain? Thinking about fishing there this weekend.

Maybe I can put my big boat in now since the water has come up.

Hey Jane,

We were thinking about coming back out there this weekend. How much rain, in your experience, does it take to turn the fish off? Obviously we got that much this past weekend. It looks like there are some chances of rain this weekend, but not any large amount in the forecast. I'm thinking about getting a cabin, if one is available, this weekend. Just kind of trying to pick my weather if ya know what I mean.

I will say for everyone to read. The camp looks like a nice place. The grounds look well kept, and while it is not the local sailing club, as far as the facilities, it looks to have everything a fisherman could need. And FYI everyone, I launched my 15.5' fiberglass boat w/85hp motor with no troubles at all. And saw people on the river with MUCH larger boats, although most were John Boats.

No cabins available this weekend. Water should still be up to launch larger boats. As far as March 13, that far who knows it changes daily. Yes you can fish from sandbar.

Thanks,

jane

Jane, haven't seen any report the past couple of days, how's the fishing? Any sandies being caught from your sandbar (I'm boatless). Was thinking about camping there this weekend....
Oh, and if I make it do allow camping on the sandbar? Saw a tent there last year.
