I have just started using senko's more and want other's opinions on how they are most effective. Do most of you guys use weights? When do you guys decide to use them? Trying to expand my knowledge some so any help would be apprieciated. Thanks in advance...

Both. Most people fish them weightless in shallow water. Small 1/16 or 1/8 bullet weight if it's windy.
In deeper water and when flipping bushes, I've used 3/8 all the way up to 3/4 oz weights.
Also deadly on a wacky rig, drop-shot, shakey head and carolina rig.
The bait was originally intended as a shallow-water weightless offering. Leave it to resourceful anglers to find other presentations where it excels.
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

I fish mine with EWG work hook weightless most of the time. I also like wacky rig too.

it's a number in spanish. uno, dos, tres, cuatro, senko.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know when to go fishing.

Thanks for all the replies and seems to be kinda how I have been fishing them. I like to throw them weightless but seem to have a hard time casting them. What rods are you guys using? Right now i am using a 7' MH Hendrix Senko rod. Do you guys step down to a M action rod when thowing them weightless, or use a rod with a lot faster tip? Thanks for the replies.

I like a MH alot more than M fishing them weightless just because I usually throw it through thicker cover and need something to pull the fish out.

I use a falcon weightless worm rod. The rod is pretty limber, but aids greatly in casting. 10-12 pound line helps as well, when possible
