Great job! Pace bend covers a lot of area. I take it your fishing from a boat with your own lights. If so which side of the bend do you put in at. I would love to fish it but both ramps are tough to launch by yourself. Last time I was up that way neither ramp had a dock you could tie to while you went back and forth with the trailer

no boat for me, unless you count a canoe. been catching these fish from a dock where the colorado and perdenales meet.

I got a small 14 foot boat, do you know of a good place to put in around pace bend?
I know there is a bridge right after the pace bend entrance, if there a boat ramp?
Any tips as far as time, bait, etc.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

mudcloth, now you have mail.
riverboat, if you go down pace bend road (2323 or whatever the number is) and take a left on the road just past the perdanales county store, you will dead end at mona's. i havnt been there this year but have heard that the ramp is dry. from mona's head downstream and fish around the docks in the area. night time is definately the best, under lights. it will take the shad 30min - 1 hr to ball up under your lights, so be patient. the whites will follow soon after and probably a few crappie too.
if you put in at pace bend park, it is much further around the point and down to the area where the colorado & perdanales meet. it might be the only option.

Squirrel-nut I have a Kayak and have been to Monas before. If I put in there and go right, do you think there is any whitebass action in that area during the day? Or is there a dock for night fishing that rents out spots? I haven't equipped the Yak for night fishin yet thanks River T
