spent 2.5 hours in the south bosque. water is clear and 64-66 in most places i stopped. saw a ton of fish, some surface action also. i threw everything under the sun and then some...nothing. sassy shad, little georges, crankbaits, worms {live}, minnows {live}, slow, fast, trolling...nothing!!! but as they say..."a bad day fishing beats a good day at work" yyz

Went to the N. Bosque yesterday and did pretty well. Caught a limit after throwing back all of the really big females. Went again today and there was a lot of traffic. The fishing was pretty slow. The fish were small today and finicky.

had a decent day on the north bosque on sunday. we boated about 18 with only a few dinks. day started kind of slow, but once we started trolling up and down the river...it was non stop action for about an hour...then just a suddenly as it began, the action just stopped. had nice fish fry for the baylor game!!! go bears!!

sam hardin, There is a lake near Troy that I day-hunted for doves years ago. Going south on IH35 take Big Elm Rd. to the right(West). Go to next rd. and take another right. Then next left. Lake should be on the left a short distance. From what I hear there is a boat ramp just to the left of the house where you pay. It has been years so I hope the directions are close.
