Unless you live nearby, catching the white bass run requires some luck. We've had it some years, and missed out on others. Any word on the Trinity River, Harmon Creek, White Rock Creek or any other area of upper Livingston accessable by boat???

I'd rather catch black bass but the white bass run can be unbelieveable if you find em stacked, packed, and racked.

If you want a update on the fishing on Trinity river at the Lock and dam, here is the web site. As of 2-17-05, I was told tha the water is below the locks and fish are biting. Good luck. http://www.lockndammarina.com/

Thanks fellow green horn for the lock and dam link. I looked everywhere last night for an update but couldn't find any current info. frown

I would appreciate any other news before we head up this weekend. Either way, it's time to get hook wet.

Trust me, it took me 2 weeks to track down that link. You can call them and get a current update on the river conditions. It may take several calls though as they don't always answer. I'll be out there this saturday also with my wife. Just talked to Kasie at the Lock and Dam on the Trinity River. She said limits were caught on Wednesday, Thursday was a little harder to catch, but everyone did well. We'll have our fly rods with us just in case there is room to use them. Providing there isn't a hard rain today the fishing should be great.
Hope to see ya there.
Mark.

Lockndam directions. Take I-45 to hwy 7. Go east towards river. You'll see the signs to the L & D Marina. Good luck.

John boats with small motors only at the Lock.

You really need the inside scoop if you want to hit it bigtime. Unfortunately, I can't give it to you. You just gotta go.
