The Co- Angler Champion Dearal Rodgers took home $65,000 and the trophy. He said he gave his glory to the Lord and asked his wife for 5 years to try and make it as a pro... This was the 5th year. God is good.

Great coverage. Sure wish I was there fishing it, but looking forward to taking at run at making the championship next year with what appears to be a great FLW Tour schedule in '11.

San Diego boy does good! Congrats to Kevin Hawk on his Wood Cup win. Even in San Diego, $600,000 will go a long ways.

He should have led all three days since he MOVED there to fish the lake as much as possible before the tourney. I read that he's moving to Alabama so he can sit on Guntersville next.

Great time at the Cup- Lots of work to do to follow up. T Boone on board and I am super excited to see what comes of that!
Interesting bit, this morning flying home the pilot comes on and says, "we have noticed that there might be an issue with the breaks so please buckle up and sit back. We dont expect any problems, but just in case, emergency vehicles will be on the landing strip and will check out the plane when we finally come to a stop... Thanks for flying with us and hope to see you soon!"
Well we stoped and I live to fish another day! Forrest Wood Cup 2011 here I come!

So I'm curious as to what everyone thinks about the two big announcements by Irwin Jacobs this weekend. I was hoping that there might be some fence mending with B.A.S.S., but maybe that is a topic of future discussion when the McKinnis group takes over for real.

I asked what the deal was... FLW guys said we'll see, and aren't real sure what all that with BASS is going to look like. I think it probably lit a fire for FLW and they have been working hard to stay in the front of the pack- I think the announcements were fantastic. Like some of the FLW guys said, the Walmart deal isn't going to give any of us a pay raise, but the awesome thing it does is brings back the Team deals with walmarts strong arm and allows these guys to fish again... rather than chase dollars. I don't have a clue how T BOONE coming on board will end up... All I know is if I were to have a partner in business and it was TBoone, I would be feeling pretty dang good that I'm on the right track... He's only made Billions of right decisions.!
