most all the different models have junk hooks on them, the phenix is the bast so far

Toughness seems to be an issue with all of them. The wire clip on the Phenix bait is terrible. The hook is not strong enough either. It bends way to easy. The hook and clip on the originals is good, but the gold plated hooks are not sharp at all. You have to literally break the gold plating off of it to get to a sharp point. I would love to try the new Talon baits, but 7 bucks for a chatterbait? Come on guys, price is getting out of hand for what they are. I love the bait and I catch a lot more fish with them than I do on a spinnerbait, but the cost needs to go down and the quality needs to go up.

I like that they catch fish, just about year round

I love them. Phenix is the best. you can find something wrong with all them. I catch fish on them all yr rd. pretty much stick with 1/2 oz. Put a LFT swimbait or a grub with a big tail as a trailer. fantastic grass bait, deep or shallow. run them right over the top of grass and let them fall. fishem like a regular jig or like a spinnerbait. One caution ive found is they do tend to hang up more than a reg. jig. Many people hate them. I was lucky, the first time I used one was at Fork and that was a day the fish ordered a chatterbait. It built my confidence on them and I know theyll catch fish. Ill always have one tied on laying on the deck of my boat. Cant beat a better COLD, winter bait either.

I like them because they seem to catch bigger fish. It's also a good alternative when your patner is thowing a spinnerbait or going behind a boat that is throwing spinners.

1/2 oz Weedless Pro Series chatterbait is tops.

This product was the upgrade from original z-man chatterbait has big red eyes and rattles and oversized hook....will vibrate rod out of your hand at varying speeds. has great wobble at all speeds as well.

I typically use as a wake bait in the vegetation. I only use blk/white sila flash.

no issues with hook or manufacturing. I also use the same manufacturer for my company spinnerbaits & buzzbaits.

everyone i fish with knows i love a chatterbait...i got a fairly good pattern for a certain lake with a certain chatterbait...works 60% of the time, every time..

Take a pair of needle nose and make a slight cup on the blade , by dong so you can fish it much slower ,with great action!!! I have caught some nice fish on the 1/4 oz here in S. Texas.
