I've read enough good info on this website, so it's time for some payback. The run is on at the San Gabriel. I didn't hit the river until almost six, and had less then an hour to fish. Hooked up the first six casts, all keepers. Ended up with close to 20, about half keepers. Not bad, for less than 45 minutes of fishing. I was using a small white inline spinner with a white jig tied on about 18" above the spinner. Only one of my keepers was female, but the fish are bigger then the last couple years. I can't wait until all of the females are in. Caught most of the fish on the spinner, but the bigger ones were on the jig. People were catching fish on all the usual suspects. I think all the water this year has helped the quality of the fish. Reimers shouldn't be far behind. Game on!

Rob, where were you and the other people fishing? The area under 95 bridge or along CO 347?

I was off the little county road where you walk down the big steps. You turn off 95 on the county road i think it's 347.

Thanks Rob. I know where it is now. However, after you walk down there, did you go upstream or downstream or just stay where you stepped down? I've been there twice, just staying where I stepped down. I only caught a 5lb catfish, though I wasn't there during the bass run. I'm wondering whether it's better to go up or down. BTW, did you happen to see anyone catching crappies there?

Were you fishing just out there wading? I always thought the water was a little deeper there for some reason.
