Took Friday off and took the kids fishing along with a few of their friends. I was worried about not being able to catch bait cuz we got there later than expected cuz their guide(me) had a hard time waking up. Note: don't go out then head to bed at 1:00AM when you plan on waking up at 3AM to go fishing. Fortunately, bait was fairly easy to catch. We headed out and saw the typical boat shows. I decided to stay away and fish open water. First drift, caught about 12 fish. Second drift, we could not keep up with 6 rods in the water. It was sheer pandimonium. Hey, we're talking about 5 kids ages ranging from 9 to 17. Fish caught was mixed-overs and unders. as strange as it sounds, it was good to catch unders. The last 3 trips, unders were hard to come by.

Great job Epfishon. It is always a hoot to watch kids catching fish.

Got shad just outside Highport Marina. Was fishing near the Table Top area.
