In bridgeport they have been at 5-10 ft at the boat slips.

Yesterday morning on Granbury I caught them in 20-25ft around boatdocks..

Big fish running 8-10 foot smaller ones 10-15 foot water body size makes a difference colors will vary.

If your going to fish bport for crappie, if your fishing over probably 12ft you'll catch you a really nice sunburn, or maybe a buzz, or quite possibly one of them smelly hybrid types.

totally depends on the lake/area. Some shallow lakes you're gonna find the fish in less than 10 ft right now. Others are different. Cborden fishes granbury like me, catching in 20-25 ft. I haven't caught a crappie deeper than 15' all summer (mainly b/c I fish shallower). Most of mine 9-14 ft.
