If you want to take a ferry ride over to Bolivar go to Roll Over. We're down there all the time. It's hit or miss but when we hit we catch Red and Drum all night/day long. We've also been fishing on the jetties by the ferry and have been catching Trout on live shrimp too.

if the water is good at the surf you can fish on the little rock jetties on the seawall, theres one that has paved concrete on it by the old flagship hotel that i go to..when the surf is green , you can catch trout, pompano, smacks and even reds.
if you want to take the ferry to roll over pass, you take 45 south to the end, take a left on the seawall and take another left on ferry rd, go all the way down till you see the ferry dock and wait in line. once you get off the ferry to boliver island go down about 20 mins and you will see a bridge with people fishing from the bank on either side, thats rollover pass.

Fatboy's has a free fishing pier and live bait but I'm not sure of the bait camp hours. You can fish the pier free anytime though. See this link to find out more http://www.galvestonbaitcamps.com/fatboys.html
