Going to port aransas in september wanting to flounder gig any advice of places and how it is in early September would really help thanks.

Sept. is a llittle early. Not sayin' you can't find them, they just don't migrate in large numbers until after the first couple of cold snaps. You be using a boat or wading? I would think your chances of a limit would be pretty good from a boat. They will most likely be scattered, so the more ground you can cover the better.

Will be in kayacks. So now just need productive areas. I normally go in nov but with the ban I went in dec last year and weather was to bad. Going only to fish in September and wanted to try to gig.

I think most of the area on the right side of the hwy. from A.P. to the ferry should be good. You going at night?
