Clear water lake. Fish deep off points. The bite will be tough, so I'd downsize and use natural colors. I've never fished there, but I've done some at Lake Travis and these tactics have worked for me in the dead of summer.

Also, the early morning top water bite can be good this time of year... Good luck and report back!

You don't have to fish deep at LBJ, there are tons of shallow fish year round, throw a fluke around some docks, or a senko and you will catch a bunch, may not be big but plenty to keep a person going all day, and I have caught some nice 5-6lb fish around docks in the middle of summer

jm is right on! Fish shallow docks that have wood posts not metal and you will get bit. I prefer a RC 1.5 shallow crank with rattle in a bluetreuse pattern. This has worked for me since March. also Zoom horney toads in the river weeds along the main lake, well everywhere acyually, works real good too. Maybe try a white swimjig in same weeds.

White spinnerbait is a constant on LBJ. The bite is real tough right now.

went there last summer and fished from dawn until dusk, partner and I caught well over 80 bass, we just fished docks all day, early morning when its still dark throw a red shad powerworm they love it, when the sun rises switch a natural color bait we were using rattlesnakes in watermelon chartreuse and watermelon red and green pumpkin, either t-rigged or on a split shot rig, you will catch a bunch of largemouth and guadalupe, however if you fish the colorado river arm dont fish it during the day there are a ton of wakeboard boats and it frustrate you and you will be riding giant wakes every 5 mins, i would start in the colorado river arm in the morning then work your way down toward the mainlake and just flip every dock thats how we had success, biggest we caught was about 5 lbs
