Hey guys, I used to live in Lake Jackson, and would fish out of bassdrop marina. We would boat over to christmas and fish quite a bit. Now that we don't have the boat, I was going to drive over via Bluewater highway out of Surfside and access the South side. Here are my questions.

1. Is there public access over on that side and how is the wading? (easy, hard)
2. Have the specs and reds moved into that area or are they still hanging in deeper bays?
3. I was going to fish topwater early and switch to shrimp later in the morning and mix in a few jigs. Good plan?
