I haven't been on Tawakoni in a few years. Can you tell me where finger point is?
My son is just now big enough to fish. I would love to get him into some sandies.
Thanks, DannyB

david, I have not gone since lavon 2 wks ago, sure I will take u out there some time, you can see the shack. I try not to fish from my jon boat if I can help it, that is last resort- although I did catch probably my biggest striper I have ever caught out of it. I usually go w/ some friends of mine. I'm not sure if I'm going to stay all weekend, if not I was thinking about hitting something local on Sun. or maybe going back to lavon for some of those crappie I hear they are still shallow. If I come back on sat. I will give u a call and see if u want to drop a line on Sun.

Stripershack, Read your post regarding the hotspots map for Tawakoni. Is there a web site hotspots map for other lakes such as Cedar Creek?

Sat. morning got a late start but found some fish at tall man, the first fish i caught, about a 5-6 lb hybrid, broke my new reel, after I got it in the boat of course. Sat. evening went back out and slaughtered the sandies just west of finger point in about 4-10 ft water. Sun. morning went out to cloud point and run and gunned working birds, u would of thought my favorite words were "doubles", tired, wet, lake was getting big decides to head to the shack, as soon as we get there the lake turned slicker than a baby's a-s

A couple of friends and myself included was out there today and do pretty good. We brought 72 sandies, and 11 stiper's(biggest about 8-10lbs.). Wasn't a bad day, that is until the prop on the trolling broke!! We were out in the open water when it broke off. Only thing I can figure is that all of those stumps from Lake Cooper had worn it out. Still wasn't a bad day.
