Went there this afternoon, caught five out of one hole the first 20 minutes I was there (cpr'd) then they just quit. They were all small males (10-12in.) that looked pretty much spent... they were all beat up too. The creek was a little more than half bank, and a pretty strong current. Gate was closed when I got there. When I left the wardens had just opened the gate. Probably be 'ok' this weekend if it doesn't rain much. I don't plan on doing that good, I just enjoy being out there. I went there more or less to ride my bike, haven't been on the saddle for a couple of years. I'm going to have to bring that thing everytime I go, I hit all my favorite spots in a quarter of the time

caught the first two with a 1/16 chart. roadrunner head and white curly tail, broke off then tied on a red rr head and white curly tail caught three more. Broke off agian and agian, changing color combos each time. Got snagged with a blue/chart/ white tri-color grub, when it came undone, a little fish hit it, probably bream or small crappie that only had it by it's tail. I think they were hitting anything they could actually see.
