I went catfishing this weekend didn't get anything but one single bite.. I used frozen shad,chicken liver, frozen perch , Shrimp,and night crawlers.. I set out 6 noddles three with liver and three with shad also had four poles set out one with perch and the others with shad... I throw the poles right were the water went from 10 to 12 ft ... ppl have pulled out some huge cats out of this river!! Don't know what i'm doing wrong???

my rule of thumb is if i dont get at least 2 bites in 20 mins, im moving to another spot.

Use some Fresh Shad or Perch both live and cut. Put your noodles/jugs at different depths. Fish your Rod & Reel up shallow 3'-5' of water. Carolina rig your live baits or use a float. Get you some Big Marv's Cheese bait and use it under a cork or on a Carolina Rig.

i have my noddles set at different depths.. Guess i better get a perch trap pretty soon .. i've never cat-fished before but watch videos and it looks really fun plus i want to have a fish fry . One pole i had the caroline rig with a perch bait

This is a excellent rule of thumb, Tom actually taught me that. He uses a cigarette rule, if its been 15 mins and he finishes a cig, we are moving

If the fish are not there, they are not there. No use in wasting time and bait if you ask me.
