Troll only at night - it's safer (no one can see you doing it).

We caught a few. Could have probably caught more but we drug the smaller ones around awhile not knowin they were on there. They finally swam up to the top and signalled their surrender.

I guess if a guy has a fish fry planned and needs to catch fish the end of July, there is only one sure fire method to load the ice chest..............Troll the hell-pet.

This time of the year will make even non-trollers pull out a hell-pet.

I'm considering it, but I HAD the hot weather you must endure to troll.

I just want to know why everyone thinks trolling is bad? I never see anyone talkin bad about trot lines, jug lines, slabbin, etc.

You aren't talking to the right people.
Slabbing takes some skill, the rest not so much.

It ain't easy making it look easy.

Mama always told me all trollers were going to hell-pet....

That's why I use downriggers

I think once you find the fish it's not hard to catch them. I am no expert but I would rather troll in 100 degree heat than slab anchored off. We've caught fish 3ft behind the boat trolling before. I think uncurtios boat operators give trollers a bad name.

Yea I agree it's the guy trolling through the surfacing fish and too close to others that makes trolling look bad. Yes it is easier too, that's why so many people do it.
