hey anybody know if the catfish ponds by eagle mntountain lake are any good?

i think there off ten mile bridge

They are closed according to the sign out front.

They have said they are "closed for the winter" since 2008!!

its too small anyway...no challenge!

if your near Eagle mountain why not fish it or hire a guide ? not trying to be smart but those catfish ponds get real exspensive charging by the pound. I run father son , teaching trips , all kinds of specials just for guys like you who dont want to spend alot of money on a guide but would like the chance at catching fish. send me a pm if you would like some info on the lake or maybe a half day trip.

I really shouldnt have said "guys like you" because I am just asuming when I speak like that...my intentions were to imply that I like to take out the regular hard working guy that finds it hard to justify 400 dollars for a fishing trip. I want everyone to have a chance at catching fish and making good memories fishing..... I also do appreciate the fellows who can afford the 400 bucks that fish with me ..lol boy how did I get myself into this???? first post in almost a month and look what I did ?

They're owned by the Rider family in Azle. Same people that have the propane company. Never fished there but have seen a few people there from time to time. Seems like it would be money better spent to spend an afternoon with Terry out on the lake. Good luck if you hit the pay ponds. Take a stick to run the buzzards off.

I have never heard a bad report about fishing with Terry...its worth the trip!

I think hanging out with kids and lack of sleep is wearing on you Brother.
