I wish I could lead you in the right direction as far as some one in that area with some inventory stock, but I have no idea, If you don't find out anything, give me 'til Monday afternoon I'll make a call to Scott, VP of manufactor and see if ke can point you to someone.

I wish you were closer to me, I have about every model of the Sketetons and many of the XP3's you are welcome to take any of them and use them for a day are two. I am 100% positive you will be pleased. Let me know if I can be of any help, and the offer always stands if you would like to try a CastAway rod.

Only found standard lines at Academy and Dick's. Fun N Sun and Fishing world dont carry the brand. Got a look at some other brands that I was curios about so all was not a loss. Any help would be appreciated. Does anyone know if Barlow's carry Castaway?

Academy put the better ones on sale for $49 recently. ( normally $84) There are still a few left in the Shreveport Academy store when I bought another one last week, but not many.

They still arent as good as the old ones, though...which were over $100.

Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.

Academy, does not carry the higher end CastAways, they have the pro sport series (which are outsourced) and the standard series. And some may have the the new Go2 series by now. All are great rods for the price but they are not the higher end CastAways

The Skeletons and the XP3's are not found in Academy

Hmmmm. You should sell all those extra skeletons in your closet?

What lakes do you fish?

Mostly North East and East Texas, my next tournament is the BASS weekend series on Tawakoni but not until mid-Sept. My wife fishes the LBAA (Lady Bass Anglers Association), the new womans pro tour developed after BASS cut the WBT. She goes to Arkansas in Sept.

Can't sell them, CastAway frowns on their prostaff if that happens, great company they protect their dealers well. But I do have some other "skeletons" in my closet I need to get rid of LOL.

Hey rodbender1,
Could you get me in touch with your rep. or someone at Castaway. I've scoured the metroplex and found no Skeletons. Looks like the only way to get them is online sight unseen/untouched. I trust there good rods but I am hesitant to spend that kind of coin on something I have not at least whipped around a little. I will be buying some rods this week as I need to get back on the water so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Anyone know if the Grapevine BPS carries the Castaway Skeletons? I have not seen them but I could have missed them since there are thousands of them lined up every where you look. Will look again this weekend. That Katy store is close to Montgomery right?
