From the TPWD website click on "fishing and boating" then click on "request ownership information" under the boating section. The rest is easy to fill out. It asks for your info but it does not matter what you punch in there.

My dad bought a motor new in 1977 and swore he had never titled it. I was able to find out that he had titled it just by punching in the serial #.

If you have problems, PM me the serial # and I can look it up for you.

The TPWD suggestion works when you consider buying a boat or motor from someone you don't know, have found many folks selling on CL and other sites, they claim not titled, lost title or just out right 'it's mine' you run a check and find out different which in turn keeps you from buying something stolen or stepping into someone's drama.

Ok I finally got.The guy's name who had it registerd last was EUCARIO BOTELLO from bryson texas.Said there was a lienholder of first national bank in graham so I called them and tryed to get more info but they were not going to give me any info.

If anyone knows this guy please let him know that I am trying to get ahold of him.

On side note why didnt the woman a tpwd tell me to go to this part of there web site to look it up,kinda tics me off.

Figures. One of them helped me fill out the forms to transfer a boat and the state still sent them back to me saying they weren't done right.

Don't fill out ANYTHING on the forms.....let the officials at the courthouse or TPWD do it.

If YOU make a mistake...you have to start ALL OVER AGAIN.

If THEY make a mistake...they can get verification and continue with the process.

All you need is the signed title and the signed forms.....let them do the filling in.

There ya go!

See if you can put a mechanics lien on it and then file for a title.
